Sibu, land of Hornbill

At last, I manage to make that little time to recap the good times in Sibu, the land off 1Malaysia, for the peace and varied ethnic group living with peace and understanding.

4 days 3 nights trip, participated by 3 friends from Peninsular, with another 1 originated from that blissful land, welcomed by the parents, relatives and all friends there, how thankful we are, that just can’t be said by putting them into words.

We had went to many places especially the astoundingly erected temples, busy “largest” pasar malam,and..and..and.. Central market la, Song market la and Kuching market la (many markets there).

The best spot you can find in the Pasar Malam

We have walked along that hills and lakes, setting our way through by walking under the killing unmerciful hot Sun, visiting museums, galleries and exhibition centre until I can speak Sibu history more than the Historian now.

We have tried out all the great food that is endemic and only found in Sibu, causing us to totally forget the word hungry in our mind but just over-full.

The Kong Piah, one of the many many good food

We have the great time touring here and there, cheers, laughter, fun although some people was really annoyed by my sarcastic remark, no hard feelings, all was said to trigger for the activation hormone to bring us to more places.

Tiong ‘tried’ to smile despite he was tired guiding us througout the tour

Lastly, even the last person in the world still doesn’t believe me, yet I will still say it, I am seriously falling in love with the Sibu sky. My deep affection to its blue (that is so different in Peninsular) decorated by the white snowy clouds that deserve all eyes to just stop blinking and stare at them for a while.

I will not mention about Kuching,  Sibu has make up an impressive view for the great Land of Hornbill…

Before this ended, I shall make this crystal clear, Tiong wanted so much to put either Sibu or Penang is better.

I just thought otherwise, these 2 places are just unique at their own way. How can I compare an apple with an orange?

If that comparison was ever make by me, with no intention, I just hope that Tiong will have that competition spirit to make Sibu a great time, as he had make it, or more than that.
